Chad is a born storyteller with an uncanny ability to connect on a deep, personal level with anyone, anywhere. Whether you meet him for minutes, hours, or days, you’ll remember him. You may think back on his deep voice, his welcoming handshake, his open smile, or his considerable height—but most of all, you will remember his energy.
After spending much of his life struggling with feelings of emptiness and unworthiness, this is a man whose mission in life has evolved into nothing less than contributing to the well-being of every human being he meets.
Every morning he gets out of bed and makes good on that promise. That commitment is at the core of every speech he makes, every trip he takes, and every page of Keep Telling Yourself.
Like a next-gen Tony Robbins, Chad comes from humble beginnings—an unhappy childhood, an unremarkable (at best) academic career, a long series of bottom-of-the-ladder service jobs, and a constant longing to be more and better.
When Chad eventually found career success—as the top new-home salesperson in the country over a stretch of multiple years—he did it by focusing on stories. Each time a family came into his realty office, he imagined the story they’d live out in their new home. In his words, “My mentality was Hallmark all the way.” Long before he defined the beautiful everyday moments of his own life as cannonball moments, he was dreaming them up for everyone he met. That enthusiasm was genuine enough to be contagious—and it translated into sales.
Going from strength to strength in his own quest for self-improvement, Chad started the Cannonball Mindset podcast in 2018. Now in its fifth season, the podcast has featured influential leaders from a broad spectrum of companies, industries, and walks of life, including Gary Vaynerchuk (Gary Vee, best-selling author and founder of VaynerMedia), Kara Goldin (founder of Hint, author, podcaster, and entrepreneur influencer), Chadd Wright (former Navy seal and influential keynote speaker), and many others. The podcast garnered listeners, helped Chad make meaningful and valuable connections, and allowed him to further explore the topics that would become the foundations of his book.
